What is a tesseract?

A tesseract is a three-dimensional representation of a four-dimensional shape. The three mechanical dimensions of width, depth, and height, being used to represent the fourth dimension of time is a perfect metaphor for a watch.

What is a hypersurface?

Similar to a tesseract, a hypersurface is a physical object in a higher dimension. The face of the Tesseract Hyper Surface shows more than just the front face measuring the time. You can also see all the layers of mechanical beauty which create its movement.

How are you able to offer such low prices?

By cutting out the middleman. This website is run by the manufacturer. This means you are purchasing the watch right from the source. We don't have expensive retail stores or salesman taking a chunk out of your wallet. We don't have to put up extra margins for international sales like the other guys do. What we have is a beautiful piece of art you can wear on your wrist coming from the artist to your doorstep.

Is the Hyper Surface waterproof?

While our watches are rated for 30 meters of water resistance, they should never be submerged in water. They are splash resistant, so there is no need to worry about rain, sweat, handwashing, and accidents. They would most likely be fine for an afternoon swim, but please don’t do that.

Why did you decide to make wooden watches?

There are many benefits to our wooden watches. They are much lighter than almost all watches on the planet. This allows for maximum comfort for extended wearing. Wood is also very strong. Due to the inherent properties of wood and the nature of handmade items, no two Tesseract watches are the same. Possibly the best reason for wooden watches, they have a much smaller carbon footprint. We get our woods sourced from sustainable, responsible and authorized forests. Using these as our primary materials and our ethical standards for packing and shipping, we have the greenest watches in the world.

How do I change the battery?

There is no battery! Our watches use an automatic mechanical design. As long as the watch is worn, the weighted motor will keep it ticking forever.

Do I have to wind my watch?

If worn consistently, the automatic engine should keep the watch charged. If set aside, it will maintain a charge for approximately 50 hours. If the watch loses its charge, simply wind it 20 – 25 times.

How do I become a Tesseract reseller? Do you have any authorized resellers?

While we appreciate you want to be a reseller of Tesseract, we do not currently have any reseller or wholesale program.

Where can I get my watched serviced?

Our watches can be serviced and any local jeweler. The fine construction and materials are designed to be easy to work with.

How often should I service my watch?

The superior design of our watches makes the very durable. With proper care, you may be able to go forever without needing to service. However, it is a best practice to bring it in to a jeweler at least every five years.

How can I ensure the authenticity of my Tesseract watch?

All new Tesseract watches should be purchased from this website. Before purchasing your watch, please ensure you have a secure connection to “tesseract.watch/”. If you are buying a watch second hand, or you are looking to sell one and have lost your certificate, we have a process to verify the authenticity of our watches. Please click here to find out more.
